Following the success of the Principals Appreciation Breakfast, the Orange County Arts Education Center hosted the Private and Charter Schools Reception to gather Orange County private school administrators and arts organizations with the goal of advocating for arts education and creating a stronger awareness of arts education opportunities available for all students of Orange County.

The 2011 Private School Reception Theme, 21st Century Learning, focused on the using the arts in schools to help students achieve the skills and knowledge needed to be successful in the 21st Century.
Keynote John Ceschini, Executive Director of Arts Education in Maryland Schools Alliance, discussed his success in using the arts to promote 21st Century skills as principal of two arts integration schools as well as his work advocating for arts education state-wide and nationally.
