Arts Education Training
As part of its mission to ensure access to high quality arts education opportunities for all, Arts Learning for Life (Orange County Arts Education Center) has committed to providing professional development for local artists who are using their art forms in an educational capacity.
In partnership with the John F. Kennedy Center, ALL (OCAEC) presented two Seminars, Developing Effective Residencies and Anatomy of a Lesson, September 7-9, 2011 at UCF CREATE for 30 artists. During this training, participants looked at essential components for developing an effective residency and a lesson for instruction. Participants left the training with a draft of an original residency plan and a timeline to complete their residency with the assistance of the Arts Education Advisory Committee, a group of community arts education experts.
The training has continued through Kennedy Center Partners in Education between the Orlando Repertory Theatre and OCPS. ALL continues to support this inituative as a participating sponsor.
