PLAYGROUND Fest
In partnership with PLAYGROUND Magazine, the Orange County Arts Education Center presents the Annual PLAYGROUND Music and Arts Fest at Lake Eola Park that combines several events to promote the arts in the Orange County Community.
The Fest adds to the popular Lake Eola Farmers Market with the Student Arts Market, the Community Arts Festival, the Arts Summer Camp Fair and the Community MainStage Competition.
The Community Arts Festival: Arts teachers share their students’ achievements in arts education through art displays, performances, demonstrations, games and free activities for everyone.
The Arts Summer Camp Fair: The Summer Camp Fair showcased arts groups from all over Central Florida, that offer summer programs for youth. Families can sample the expo to see which programs are a best fit for their children.
Community MainStage Competition: Each year, a unique Community Competition kicks off allowing community members of all ages to compete for a cast prize and the opportunity to perform on the MainStage at the Fest.
Lake Eola Farmers Market: Also known at the Orlando Farmers' Market, this downtown tradition has been providing Orlando residents a Sunday morning market since it's opening under I-4 across from the infamous Church Street Station in 1987. Now conveniently located at the picturesque Lake Eola Park, this upscale market is a great place to find fresh produce, delightful treats, handmade items, plants and jewelry.
Student Arts Market: The student art market showcased local student artwork throughout each Sunday along with the Farmers Market. Proceeds for sales of the student work go back to the student’s schools to help with the purchase of art supplies and materials.
